Guest guest
Hi there, Just thought I'd give everyone an update on what's going on. I was on jury duty on a murder trial FOREVER so didn't get much chance to read any emails. Everything has been going pretty good since my July 27th surgery. Unfortunately I was able to go back to work in a month (smile) but the improvements have been phenomenal. I lost 30 pounds pre op and since surgery have lost another 50 for a total of 80 pounds. I feel incredible. Not long after surgery I was able to walk more and more. This year we went to the State Fair two days in a row and walked ALL DAY! Last year I didn't even go because I couldn't walk like I used to be able to. I've been exercising and going to my gym. Last week my friend and I started walking at lunch time. I don't know the total of how far we walk but it's two blocks over, three blocks down, two blocks over and three blocks back to our building. It feels great compared to a few months before surgery when it was a chore to walk down the hall to the bathroom. My clothes are all falling off me (boo-hoo) so I have an appointment at a resale store to sell almost everything I own. I'm slowly buying stuff on sale because before too long I'm expecting it not to fit as well. The only dark cloud on the horizon is that my sister is still missing. It has been six months now and no word or updates from the police. Her 45th birthday is this Saturday. I'm still hoping that she just got fed up with life and took off, and even though the thought of that makes me mad, it's better than the alternative. I sincerely hope she's somewhere blowing out birthday candles on Saturday. Please remember her 11 year old son through all of this. Otherwise, life gets better everyday. I owe special gratitude to my nephew Xavier for encouraging me to take this life changing step and special thanks to the precious friends I work with who thought enough to gift me with the time to take the month post op to recover. There are extra special things to be thankful for this year. Chris Sacramento LAP RNY 7/27/2005 Dr. Mark Li 362/330/282 and counting! Yahoo! FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click. Guest guest
I am so happy for you, you are doing so great. I'm glad life is getting better every day, we all need that. I'm so sorry to hear about your sister, I to will pray she is blowing out the candles. Keep up the good spirits and enjoy your new life of WLS, and you will go through clothes sizes a lot so resale of the on to buy new ones on sale is a very smart thing. Congratulations to your hard work, keep it up. Donnachris lopez wrote: Hi there, Just thought I'd give everyone an update on what's going on. Guest guest
It is so great to hear from you. Wow a murder trial that must have been tough. I am so excited for your weight loss. I remember when you thought surgery would never happen and now to be down 80 lbs.. that is just wonderful. I am so sad to hear that your sister is still missing. I will keep your nephew in my prayers.
