Guest guest
Just a little note, to let everybody know how Gracie is. I know I have been asking a ton of questions lately, as she was not doing so well. Via many phone conversations with Fran (Dr. Cohens nurse) and your advice, we finally have Grace on the way back to her old self. She has now slept through the night three days in a row. (O.K. maybe she was up once, but I am still happy.) We did use the Melatonin, which was unsuccessful on it's own. Also DR.Cohen recommended we double the dose of her Periactin at night (it has a drowsy side effect.) The combo of both of these seems to help a lot. We are also going to see a dietitian again to put her on a more strict High Complex Carb diet, to better control her hypoglycemia. I am praying this all continues because Dr. Cohen has commented that if it problems remain she will have to be put on nightly feeds. (We are trying to avoid that for as long as possible.) Does anyone know if Predication can cause diarrhea? We are dealing with it, but since she has started the big dose she is having 5-6 runny BM's a day. I am more concerned than normal, only because it is really messing up potty training. On another note. Baby is fast approaching. I am 37 weeks pregnant on Monday, YIKES that went fast. My OB has set a tentative date of Sept. 15th for me to be induced. Since I am already dilated, if there is much more progress we are bumping the date to Sept. 8 (which is next week). So far he looks very good, so we are trying to be very optimistic that he will dodge the mito bullet. I'll keep you updated as the big day approaches. Thank you all for your support and advice. Grace is back to her two year old ways again and stealing paper clips out of our office desk. Better go chase her now!
