My MRI states "chronic sinusitis". I always have dry vocal chords,

hoarseness and my sinuses feel weird. But of course they just put it

off on something else.

I told someone about the Sinus Rinse the other day. It's a normal ph balanced saline solution that you mix up with warm water, and then squirt it up into the sinuses to flush all the gunk out. The same ENT that developed this has also developed a sinus gel that you can put into the nasal cavity, and it keeps the membranes lubed.

It was actually my DC that first recommended it to me, and it has been a godsend.

As far as the dry mouth issues-- Biotene Mouthwash, gum and toothpaste are wonderful!

You can get both of these online or in your local drugstore. Longs, Walgreens, RiteAide and such carry them, or you can ask them to order them for you.

It truly has made it possible for me to keep taking meds that I would have otherwise given up on.

Hey

Tracie that was me you told about the sinus rinse and I keep forgetting to get

it, but will sure give it a try. I always wake up very dry, hard to talk for

awhile, if I answer the phone in the am they ask are you sick, my sinuses are

numb but no pain, I’m waiting until I see my Sarc doc before I do

anything especially with the A - - I saw the other day! But I do

have all those sx’s too,

Hey quick questions; is anyone using a neti pot for the sinus rinse? I

heard they were really good but it took a little time to get the

technique down.

The Sinus Rinse is by NEILMED. They also have a Nasogel-- for dryness problems-- it's new, and I just got a 'sample' tube when I bought the last refills.

I totally swear by it.

Teri,

I just use the plastic 8 oz squeeze bottle, and rinse it with hot water and leave it to dry. I've not had any problems with using it this way.

I looked into the Neti pot-- but honestly, I think the bottle has got to be easier.
