Guest guest
I went to the neurologist yesterday because for the last 7 days I have had a headache, nausea, dizziness, my vision is very blurry, I can feel my eye go in and out of focus, when my head isn't hurting it feels weird on the ® side of my face like someone is touching me, etc. He checked me out and said my eye disc looked ok?? Get in and see an Ophthalmologist. These are symptoms of a glaucoma attack. When the intraocular pressure goes up, you can initially have the flu like symptoms, before the optic nerve disc becomes permanently damaged. IT is also possible that you may have increased pressure of the spinal fluid. This can cause the hydroencephalis- Swelling of the fluid around the brain. A spinal tap would rule this out, along with sarc induced meningitis or encephalitis. Has your vision taken on a tunnel like process. (Like holding a straw up and looking down thru the center of the straw, and not seeing peripherally?) That is what glaucoma does to vision. That would be my suggestion-- and if you can get in first thing in the morning, it would be a good idea. SEE AN OPHTHALMOLOGIST MD-- NOT AN OPTOMETRIST.
