I don't know if I can let doctors off the hook as easy as you do. I think

that with people's lives, and the quality of their lives in their hands,

they should constantly be looking at the latest medical evidence. Glad you

liked my martian line; sometimes (with casual friends and acquaintances) I

wish I could remember to just keep my big mouth shut. I am getting better I

guess cause I can talk about it all I want to with you guys. ;-)

What about Kaiser Permanente. Is there one near you? I had them in Southern

California for years. They did a lap gallbladder,it was a breeze. I had my

eight year old and my twins with them also.

Does this mean you had DS with Kaiser? They are an HMO, isn't it harder to

get this surgery with an HMO? Don't all the Drs need to be in their system

to get them to approve? Because, wow, I checked and I can't believe it, but

they ARE in OH.

I knew they were in SoCA because I used to live there and had Kaiser with one

of my or my x-husband's employers. I wouldn't mind getting insurance with

them because I am sure they would be cheaper in monthly costs. BUT, I want

to make sure they will ok this surgery before I take any insurance.

I've had Kaiser for years and have had excellent care.

My doctor is the one who told me this surgery was

available - I didn't think Kaiser would pay for such a

surgery!!!!
