Guest guest
Hi ya'll, Logan goes in tomorrow for his ABR test, and I wanted to ask ya'll to pray for him. He is going to have Versed, and hopefully they will be able to get an accurate reading. If not, then we will have to reschedule and have it done in the hospital. I am anxious to see how he does. He hates having those electrodes, and anything remotely sticky,on him,,so hopefully the Versed will do the trick. I don't know if I will know results tomorrow,or not,,but I will update ya'll as soon as I get home, and kick all the kids off the computer P.S. So far so good, with Katelyn weaning off her meds. the only thing I have noticed is an increase in the OCD symptoms,,but nothing unbearable,so far. Guest guest
I will pray all goes well. Did you know Versed is not recommended for mito? Even though Grace had it many times without problems before mito was suspected, since the diagnosis it is completely banned for her. I would ask the doctor before giving it to him. It may sound weird, but my doctor recommended Benedryl before any appt. where Grace will get upset. It is not the best thing to do, but should have the least amount of side effects. I have not done it yet, so I don't know how well it works.

Guest guest
I too would like to know why it is not used in Mito kids as Mayo has used it in both Asenath and Zipporrah. Zipporrah had a real hard time after she used it. She couldn't nurse orally for a week almost, but thankfully she had just had her G-tube placement, thus the reason for sedation. Anyone who knows why Versed shouldn't be used in Mito people, please let us know why! (You would think a large center like Mayo would know this!) Darla: mommy to Asenath (4) Mito, CNS Vasculitis, strokes, migraines, seizures, G-tube, hypotonicity, disautonomy,SID, dev. delays, asthma, chronic vomiting... Zipporrah (10 mon.) Mito, strokes, SID, GERD, 100% G-tube fed, asthma, trach issues, disautonomy, hypo & hypertonicity, migraines, possible seizures, dumping syndrome... Luke (16), Leah (14), Rachael (12), Isaac (10), Tirzah (7), Kezia (3), & Marquis (2) (some with Mito symptoms) Re: Please pray for Logan > > NOOO,,I had no idea that Versed was a big fat No No !!
