Guest guest
> I have just been diagnoised with overactive thyroid. They tell me that one of the symtoms of this is itching. Donna Goodine Donna, Did he start you on Synthroid? I hope so. It should make you feel 100% better within the next few weeks. Mine is .088 mgs. I didn't know that itching was another symptom, but now that I think about it, I notice that since I started therapy in July, that ankle itching has let up quite a bit. Thanks for letting me know. I hope you start feeling better. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth hhessgriffeth@... South Carolina SC and SE Regional Representative PAI, Intl. Guest guest
Kristie, I don't mind sharing information. My skin isn't that bad on my thighs, but like Azin I started walking at the hospital, then every day when I got home from the hospital. Every day I go a little farther. I do 1-2 miles most days and on Sunday I do a hill and a average of 4 -41/2 miles. My tummy isn't to bad, but I do 100 crunches a day, I still need surgery because I have 3 prior surgeries (2 c-sections and a bad staff infection which the doctor cut me from hip to hip and I had 8 drains and was left open to heal from the inside out, I almost died). So this surgery really has a big scare and causes a fat roll under my top of my pants. My legs and butt can fit a size 6, but do to the roll I wear a 8, my tummy could use some help. My boobs and arms bother me the most, no matter what I do for my arms they hang big time and even with my sisters who are small they had this and they were never big, it runs in our family. So mine is gross, I will not wear nothing but 3/4 or longer sleeves and do plan some day to have surgery on them. My boobs have lost so much weight it's crazy, I use to be 42 EE, I'm a 38 B now and because of 6 pregnancies (but only 2 living children), still what your body goes through, and then with age gravity takes over. So my boobs really need a lift and some skin removed. It's like taking a sock and rolling it up to get in the bra. Or when you on your back you never know where they are, they fall under your arm pits, so when your having a good time with your partner, he has to find them first. HEHEHE I just want them back where they need be small or not. Hope this answers you questions, I think you really have to work all the areas as you go no matter how fast you lose, if you don't you will be worse. Then some areas are going to be bad no matter what you do, and surgery is probably the only answer. We're all different and some will be worse in other areas. Take care, your doing great. I also have arthritis, tendinitis, joint pain and fybromialgia, and I realized this and read about the Omega's. I did find after my surgery the first 2 weeks I had severe muscle pains, nerve pains all over my body that my PCP sent me to chronic pain for information and I got a hold of the fybromialgia group and found out the severe pain was happening due to the rapid weight lose. It got better when the lose is slower, then when I do a lot in a period again the pain is bad, but I did it as fast as I could even with the pain. I was okay only because I knew it wouldn't be this severe all the time. I made goal and down a little more at 6 months post op. Goal was 150 I'm at 143 and would like to get to 135 if possible. Now that my weight is really down there the pain is so much less, very little joint pain, but every there is still pain to live with, but it's so much more bearable. Thanks for the good information.
