Guest guest Posted November 4, 2005 Report Share Posted November 4, 2005 Hello group!! I have really missed you all so much! I have not been able to get in here and read any of the post for weeks. I have been busy interviewing for a new job closer to home and am happy to say I was offered 3 different jobs with UCSC !!! I took one and will be starting on Monday. Today is my last day here with Marriott and its a bit sad. I love my job but just can not do highway 17 anymore. I am cutting my commute from two hours a day to 8 minutes!! Yep thats 4 minutes each way. I can even ride my bike (after winter) I am so excited to be working close to home. I would like to welcome all the new members!! I'm so glad you found our group and am sure you will fine all the information you need. I have no idea whats been going on in here and feel so apart from you all. I am hoping that all changes as things slow down for me. Roybnn, I did read your post about bad habits and all I can say is Yes! yes! yes! I hear you, I've been there and I still go there. It is hard. I will tell you this though. I to lost weight every week for months then I would stop and not lose anything for like two weeks. I thought man is it over? Well what I found was it was during those times that I was not losing people would say Wow you keep getting thiner and thiner, I realized that during the time I was not losing my body was ajusting to my huge amount of weight lost. My body was reshaping itself. It was cool. Things were shifting lol. I have maintaied a 170 pound weight lost for almost 3 years now, its tuff and I am by no mean a perfect eater. I eat things I should not alot and then I do good. The surgery is just a tool, its fast weight lost for the first 18 months are so then we become just like anyone else who has to watch their food intake.
