Guest guest
Hi All, I know this has been discussed before, but I can't find it in the archives. I've been strict SCD for 6 months, and it's been absolutely miraculous. Now I'm having more frequent looser stools, headaches, body aches, hot flashes and chills, fatigue, and irritability. So I'm wondering if there's any way to know if this is die-off or a Crohns flare. I didn't really have much happen at the 3-month mark, so I'm not sure what die-off feels like. This group is so fantastic - I've read all the posts for months and have learned so much. But this is my first post. Thanks in advance for your help! Guest guest
If it is something that you have been building up to for more than a week - it's probably a flare. Die off is usually (but not always) briefer. It could also be a bit of both - just to help you along. Feel better soon and don't be shy about posting. Guest guest
Hi Martha- it's all so confusing! Die off vs. Diet Flare vs. Crohn's Flare... I just had a five week " 3 month flare " , but I stuck to the diet and have come out the other side! I also have Crohn's and the symptoms were identical to a Crohn's flare. But, since I knew about the 3 month flare on the diet, I didn't change any meds and just hung in there. If you are willing to stick it out, it could very well just be the 6 month flare of the diet. Good Luck! -Joanna > > > Hi All, > > I know this has been discussed before, but I can't find it in the archives. I've been strict SCD for 6 months, and it's been absolutely miraculous.
