That's my story, and I'm willing to change it

Tracie, I like your new take on "That's my story, and I'm sticking to it." In the past few years there has been a lot of talk about resilience in reference to children dealing with abuse, neglect, family turmoil, etc. The kids who come through these experiences with intact personalities & self-worth are kids who are resilient, who can bounce back. So there are lots of people looking at how to help these kids develop resilience. But in reading your story I was struck by our need to develop resilience. Another word might be flexibility, but it's not quite the same. Does this make sense to anyone?
