Guest guest
Thanks steve- I agree- I think alot of people have left this list because of the constant bickering. Lets all help one another and make this list an info and sharing of all. Not this rediculous back and forth. Ellen(Pam
Guest guest
If this bickering keeps up too much longer, we are going to chase Joe Frost away, if we have not already. That would be a terrible loss. In fact, has anybody seen a post from Joe lately? Have we turned his stomach for the last time already? --Steve --
Guest guest
Now now now Steve. I consider myself a friend of Joe. However, good old Joe is just one of many valuable members here. I have no desire to control Joe. If he wants to unsub or go to no mail, that is his right. Joe does exactly what Joe wants to do. I know, it's a guy thing. Joe is an adult (most times anyway) and can take care of himself. He is active on other lists. I'm concerned that the pre ops here NOT read the false information that has been posted here and believe it. Things can get hot here-- not atypical for mail lists. And I trust and to stomp on our toes if we get too far out of line. Hey Joe, how about you send a scorcher to Felicia?? Let her get out those size 4 oven mitts. People who spread unsubstantiated garbage should have their feet put to the fire. Felicia can choose whether or not to respond to any rebuttals. That's her right. But if she is as web-experienced as she is purported to be, she should know that when she clicks " SEND " on any public posting, her views become fair game for anyone reads them. She can couch her statements in as many disclaimers as she wants, it's still misinformation if it is unsubstantiated, and there is nothing wrong with calling her on that. Guest guest
: >>Hey Joe, how about you send a scorcher to Felicia??<< I have no interest in flaming Felicia. Or whoever wrote the actual message. IMO it is a flame intended to do nothing but stir up trouble and is better ignored. Which I haven't that successful at doing. But I'm gonna keep on tryin. My momma told me, " Never fight with pigs. You both get dirty and the pig enjoys it. " Actually my momma had degrees in sociology from the University of Michigan and Sophie Newcome and never said anything like that in her life. But it sounds better to say it came from Momma rather that I read it somewhere. But I try to live by it. There is one thing I dislike on these lists. Well a number of things but one is people holding the lists hostage. I saw several people do that in the past and they got floods of messages begging them to not get pissed and leave. I was disgusted. And when I left for a few weeks a few months ago after making the announcement I was leaving. I got the same thing and realized that though it wasn't intended I was doing the same thing that I disliked in others. And I didn't like what I saw. If I get fed up in the future I'll drop out of sight quietly and not tell anyone. I haven't left yet. Though there is a lot of whining and not much support or information sharing going on. I'm not very good at atta- boy type messages. But I'm pretty good at information - as are you. I will stick around in case a need arises for that sort of service. And on rare occasions I'll give an atta-boy. But I'll either be here or not, and I'll keep my counsel and will NOT hold the list hostage. Thank you for caring. Regards.
