You can do this.....you have two whole days to detox from caffine

before going back to work!!!! As a recovering coffee-aholic I was

sure it could not be done.... but now de-caf is more natural than

regular. I have my watchdogs at the diner and at home hovering over

every cup to make sure nobody accidently slips me regular on the way

by....and another dear friend who is de-caffing with me!!!! Her

advice is always have fresh de-caf!! Sounds wierd to a person who

could nuke two day old coffee from in front of the computer while

more was brewing because I couldn't wait for it to finish brewing,

but it is true!!!! Hours old de-caf is like paint remover!!!! Maybe

invest in a small one cup brewing machine...and make one cup of de-

caf at a time. I was a threepot at home plus however much at the

diner and school and work coffee drinker. (maybe 30-35 cups a day?)

and since giving up caffine, I only drink coffee (de-caf) only at

meals, which will soon change after surgery (no drinking while I

eat!!!!), and two or three a week besides that total!!!! Also, I

love herbal teas now... perky ones in the morning and calming ones

at night.... I use three tea bags in the filter to a whole pot of

tea. Check out the herbal teas, if your addiction is for warm

drinks, (mine is!!!!) there are sooooo many out there....for me,

perusing the tea area of Target, grocery stores, Trader Joes and

anywhere has replaced my need for caffine AND candy!!!! I used to

scour the candy isle looking for " new " taste (the coffee isle too,

flavored coffee was my passion!!) ....now I look for adventure in

the tea isle! Sometimes no sweetener, sometimes equal and once in a

blue moon a tiny bit of honey. You can do this !!!! One step

at a time.... " Hello my name is and I'm a recovering caffine-

aholic.... " Hugs from Palmdale!!!!! Sue
