Guest guest
Hi Eileen, I did get D from abx - the best my stools ever get on SCD is soft firm, but the D was watery - no avoiding it. However, I tested positive for co-infections which can cause major abdominal discomfort and D - bartonella, babesia and also HHV6 and Epstein Barr - I am still taking 3 kinds of oral abx, but since stopping the IV, my stools are more firm, back to being better. I'm also taking VSL which is not leagl, in addition to yogurt and acidophilus, because I need the support - just a tempoary mesaure.I did also stool test + for C. diff, but white cell counts were normal, so Flagyl was only 5 days instead of 10 - and that seemed to work. Treatment of Lyme is so complicated - I cannot even comment on + for 1/3 bands! Best of course to be preventative, as I learned. Best book to read: " Cure Unknown " . I can also email you some further information about long term lyme treatment if you are intersted. LMK! Glad to be back!
