Guest guest
Well Everyone, I tried 1 bite of salad yesterday with my piece of grilled chicken and salad is still not for me. I never have dumped, but the diarrhea just won't stop for some time. So I'm not even trying fruit again. Me and my proteins are just fine. When I'm ready to try vegs or fruit again I will make sure I do it at home, thank goodness I was home when I tried it last night. I'm fine today down to 141 and it's that time of month, but I believe this is just from the diarrhea and next week I'll know where I really am. I'm 7 months post op Nov 11th and I'm a real protein person, have no choice, but it has really made the weight come off. So every one is different, just listen to your body. Guest guest
Colleen, Even spinage, carrots, and tomatoes do this. I've only tried a piece of apple, and cantaloupe. All do the same thing. With time it may get better. I don't mind the protein I love fish many kinds, chicken, cottage cheese, cheese, low fat yogurt, roast beef, extra lean ground beef, and ham, then for extra I do SF popsicles, on special occasions SF Fudge popsicles, SF jello, SF pudding on special occasions, and SF hard candy, this is all I've done so far. The diarrhea was so bad after surgery I had to stay on stage 2 for 2 1/2 weeks. So my body takes a little longer to get use to foods, that's okay it makes me not want to try a lot and that will help me finish getting off the weight and not feel tempted for bad things. Guest guest
Hi Donna, Sounds like you know your body really well. If you don't miss it and you're getting enough nutrition why push it? Guest guest
Pam, Yes I'm getting enough nutrition, I did have to go up to 2 iron pills a day, but that's okay and I take my vitamins every day. Hope your doing good. Donnaazurewinds@... wrote: Hi Donna, Sounds like you know your body really well. If you don't miss it and you're getting enough nutrition why push it? Guest guest
I find that an Israeli style salad works best when starting out...small pieces of tomato and cucumber, like tiny chunks, with bits of onion seasoned with salt, pepper, olive oil and lemon juice good luck!Colleen Garner wrote: Donna- I love salad and lettece for me is an issue, i just dont digest it well what goes in gross as it sounds often comes out looking the same !
