, the self-tanners help cover up spider veins & other skin things, but I've never been able to use one that didn't streak or turn my hands orange, no matter how careful I am or how much I scrub my hands. What I do like is the bronzing lotion. It's easy to apply & I can see a real difference in just 2-3 days. It does not protect you from the sun, unless it has a really high SPF. I tried a spray-on tan a few years ago, when I was going to San Diego. I don't know if the girl was inexperienced, but it was a bit streaky. I was satisfied with it though, and it lasted for over a week, then I touched up my legs with some self-tanner. I'm not sure what it cost, but I don't think it was a lot. Again, it doesn't provide any sun protection. Be sure to use a high SPF on your lips also, and your scalp if you are in the sun for long. I have had my lips swell up something horrible because I put sun-screen everywhere but my lips. I've also seen people with bad burns where they part their hair. You can really enjoy the trip, but just remember that this is tropical sun. Even my granddaughters, who are half-Mexican & dark-skinned, got burnt on South Padre Island. I tried to chase them around with sunscreen, but to no avail. The kids on your trip will be likely to get burnt if they don't use sunscreen. Good luck on that! The danger is that with the breeze from the water, it doesn't feel hot, especially on the upper deck where I hung out. That's why I stayed in the shade a lot.

Hi again--

I have a question for you about my legs. My legs continue to have those red spots and blotches on them. I really would love to go swimming on this cruise, but if anyone saw my legs, they would have a cow and run away... So my question is, does anyone know of anything that I can wear while swimming to cover up my legs??

Not sure what I am gonna do....... Any help would be appreciated lots.

Thanks,

from Iowa.

, A long time ago, back in the '80's , I had a really bad case of psoriasis on my legs , I mean they were really ugly. Anytime I had to were a dress or skirt , I would wear dark colored hose to cover them up and it still didn't always work. I was only 19 so I was REALLY sensitive and embarrased when having to show my legs. But anyway, for healing them I can remember the doctor used to have these large about 4" x 6" or 3" x 5" medicated patches (this was even before all these medicated patches for everything else were really out!) . I could apply them - the whole thing or cut them to custom sizes with scissors - to my legs. They would stay on through everything. Water , sweat if it was hot, etc. I don't remember the name of the medicine that was on them. But I do know they were really thick like almost a thin type of rubber - not like the

superthin patchlike material they have now. They were flesh colored so they toned in with the rest of your skin. They really worked well on clearing up the psoriasis too. It took a bit, but it was the only thing that worked for me , and believe me , we tried everything! Maybe if you asked your dr about a thick patch with medicated adhesive probably about .001 - .002 mil. thick used around 1981 for psoriasis , He may be able to help you. I don't know, it's worth a shot.........,....Good luck. Debbie T. Co-Moderator7 wrote: Hi again-- I have a question for you about my legs. My legs continue to have those red spots and blotches on

, I used to see commercials for a makeup for legs and it was also waterproof. It was mostly for vericose veins but it would surely work the same for other leg problems. Do some searching on-line and I'm sure you could find something. Have fun for all of us! hugs S.das97 wrote: Hi again-- I have a question for you

,

Somewhere

they sell some really thin light weight pants, you can see through them to a

point, I probably got them at walmart or Target as those are my two favorite

places (I can afford) like to shop at. They are so light weight they dry fast

but do hide the flaws. Have a great time, I took a cruise once and it was

fun!!
