Guest guest
Does anybody know anything about CellCept. I just started it this week. Anybody on it and is it helping. I was wondering if anybody has had any luck with social security disability? I work as a medical transcriptionist and my doctor says I probably cannot return to my current job as a transcriptionist, but I will be " employable " . What does that mean? Last year I was off for 6 months and now this year I have been off for three months. I can do three months short-term and then three months long-term and then I lose my job if I am not back to work. I have sarcoid in my lungs, spleen, brain and just last week I had a MRI of my crevical spine and they said it was full of lesions. I am also very frustrated with my doctor. He says be patient, we will get it. I believe him, but what to do about work? Thanks so much for listening. Lori
Guest guest
If you have Sarcoid in all these places you will not be able to work again. If you cannot use your hands for typing, you probably cannot use your feet for walking. If it is your cognitive situation that prevents you from working as a Transcriptionist, then it will prevent you from doing other work also. If you have been off work for 9 months out of the past year and a half, you are not going to be working full time anywhere. You won't be able to make a living at working. Find a doctor who will tell them this. You are permanently disabled. I remember when I was trying to decide if and when and how I could work. I couldn't and I don't think you can either. Guest guest
I just ended ~3 weeks on cellcept. It helped reduce my sarc symptoms including a horrendous migraine + sinus type headache. Unfortunately, for me the side effects included bad tremours so I had to stop. Much of my work involves written reports...bad enough my vision is not very good...it's almost impossible to touch type with the shakes. Guest guest
Sorry to hear you had problems with the cellcept. Are the tremors a side effect that might decreae with time. Hopefully you will be given somethhing that will help without the side effects. I once worked in a unit that approved drugs that were off label usage and brand necessary drugs. Our medical advisor often said that MS and NS had something different in their body makeup that gave them problems different type of reactions to drugs that people without MS or NS didn't have.
