Guest guest
--- Thanks for the info - you have helped me with some concerns that I have been having......I was going to take my wonderful soft and pants and a T Top with me to go home in - now am thinking that maybe a roomy size dress would be more comfortable. I also know that each case is different - but I was told your stay in the hospital is 24 hours from time of the surgery - THIS QUESTION IS FOR ANYONE - Is 24hours the normal stay for Richmond? I am having Lap or can I expect to stay longer? luci In gastric-bypass-support-kaiser-patients , ren2@a... wrote: > > Oh I am so excited someone asking me the questions. Guest guest
Well here I am updating and I am in terrible pain. I called the Doctor this morning and spoke with the Doctor on call. He said that I shouldn't worry but I came home in such good shape and now I can't hardly walk. Has anyone else gone through this? Guest guest
Hi Patrice, I am sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. Please remember that you did have major surgery even though you have only 4 little incisions. They have rearranged your insides. When you are in the hospital they have very good pain killers that keep the pain in check. The stuff they give you to take home isn't quite as good. Take you meds as recommended to keep it under control. It will get better. Ramona

Guest guest
I had alot of pain too. Make sure you arent overdoing. Rest!! Even though you felt fine the first day you got home, your body has undergone major surgery. Listen to it. I had to sleep in a recliner for about 3 weeks. I hope you feel better soon. Guest guest
--- Hang in there. I was really feeling good right before I left the hospital, and I wish now that I could of stayed until the next day. The first day back was awful until I got a schedule of taking the pain meds every 2 hrs. It does get a lot better. Guest guest
Patrice When I came home I felt great, by the third day home I was really sore. You have to take your pain medicine on schedule, not late and don't skip once pain sets in it's harder to get rid of. If the pain is so intense you feel something is wrong get back and be checked. WLS is not to take lightly. Let us know what's going on. Your in my prayers and thoughts. Donnaren2@... wrote: Well here I am updating and I am in terrible pain.
