Guest guest
Darla, Dr. Whiteman told us frozen was fine. It was the doc who removed it, how they handled it right after removing it, and the lab who was processing it that mattered more than if it was fresh. That was last January. He may have changed his mind since then or he looks at each patient differently depending on prior lab work. Guest guest
-I think that the thing is this--fresh is better. That does not mean that frozen is bad. It just means that fresh is more likely to pick up more defects, especially the more subtle defects. I just know that with our luck we are likely to get normal results with frozen. I know of several families who have had normal frozen biopsies (with obvious symptoms). When they had fresh biopsies the defects were found.
