Guest guest Posted June 28, 2001 Report Share Posted June 28, 2001 ellen: maybe you should look into getting a binder or support garment of some kind to support the area your hernia is in until you can get your surgery. do they call them trusses? sounds like an old fashioned thing, but i think they are still out there. but if yours is truly painful, it may warrant surgery now. maybe the bad pain is indicative of a strangulation forming,or something???? i'm no medical expert, but i'd want to play it safe. please, get it checked out soon? mary y st.louis > I need some insight into hernias.
