Anyone here get blisters/sores on their shins? One's that have a

very hard time healing? I'm assuming they are from poor

circulation. They don't hurt, but take weeks/months to heal, and

even then not completely. Are they serious?

Blisters on your shins? Wow! I've not heard of that before.

Try some Vitamin E cream. Works wonders for me.

ph,

Have you gotten your sugars checked for Diabetes? That is a classic

symptom - poor wound healing of the extremities. This is just only one

possibility, I'm sure, and I don't mean to scare you. Please consider

getting this checked by a physician.

Hi ph,

I have the same problem. My shins are a dark color too. I have what's called Statis Dermatitis (sp?) caused by poor circulation. I'm not diabetic either.

What is the worst is that the blisters or any small wound, leaks. Last year I had a bad case because of a fall. Because of the operation, I had to see a vascular doctor. He put what is called a " Ulna Boot " on the leg. It stayed on a week the wounds (ulcers now) were much healed. After another week with the dressings, they were almost entirely healed. Ask your doctor about the " Ulna Boot "

I have always had this and I'm not diabetic. I've been tested several times over the years. I think some people are just that way. My dr doesn't know why it is....I just want to be very careful when I have surgery so I don't have post op problems.
