Guest guest
Hi all, Well, I'm getting down the wire here. Ten more days until my surgery!! I can't believe it!! Three months ago it seemed like an ETERNITY away, and now, here it is!! I almost had a BIG setback though. About three and a half weeks ago, I developed what I THOUGHT was a bad cold. Well, it got progressively worse, and I finally decided to go to the doctor the other day. It turns out I have bronchitis!!! On top of that, they discovered from my PFT that I also have asthma. So, I totally FREAKED OUT!! I was SURE that my surgery was to be canceled. So, I calmed down, and called my surgeon. I told him all the medications I was taking, blah, blah, blah, and he told me to just keep taking the medications until they were gone. He said he really didn't think it would be a problem. Now that was YESTERDAY, and I was feeling really lousy. Well, let me tell you, I took the first two doses of the medications, and WOW!! Today, I can't BELIEVE THE DIFFERENCE!! They must be some GOOD drugs!!! Anyway, any last words of wisdom as we get down to the wire here??? Guest guest
Pam; I say the 9th of July is going to be a terrific day for switching and a spectacular day for marking the beginning of a whole new life! I'll be thinking about you Switch Sister and sending you a prayer. Are you aware of the yahoo group that is specifically for those of us that are making the switch during this entire summer? You can find it at < > It's for Duodenal Summer Switch Sisters (and Brothers). I haven't seen you on that group so I hope you'll give it a try now that you know. Big Hug, gobo Dr. Surgery date 7/9/01 > Hi all, > > Well, I'm getting down the wire here. Ten more days until my surgery!! I > can't believe it!!
