Dr. Saneto is in Seattle. He comes highly reccomended.

We saw him, and I can't say I would recommend him. He is now refusing to see my child because I will NOT do the EMG, which is fine with me. I don't want to put my child through another painful procure that will probably show nothing. The MDA doc over here in Spokane agrees with us and she recommended that we NOT, so if you are close to Spokane then see if you can go through the MDA and see DR Moise, she has been great, she helped us get DS a powerchair. She is the first doctor that I felt was actually wanting to help my child have a better quality of life, she also helped us get him to camp and other stuff, new drugs ect. Just my two cents.

Dr Saneto is an excellent doctor.

I agree, I do think he is a good doctor, just wanted to say that just because he was not a fit for us doesn't mean he can't help your child. Just didn't want people to think I thought he was a bad doctor, I just found the MDA doctor understood the more day to day things, which for my child at this stage is what he needs.

I live in Puyallup and I've heard that WSU children's hospital has someone, but I go to Oregon Health and Science University (Doernbaucher Children's Hospital) It is in Portland. So far I really like them. I was able to get my daughter, Lily, a fresh muscle biopsy done there which was important to me. Lily's neurologist here felt OHSU was better with mito then Seattle, but don't know... Where do you live? Feel free to email me anytime amyrd@...

sorry to jump in here but yes Dr. Russ Saneto is in Seattle. We really like him, we too have been to OSHU and to USCF but when we relocated went to Wa state so we would be able to see him with our ins. He runs a clinic on Fridays and is busy so the schedule is pretty far out. He is great at returning email to answer questions and getting you the letters you need for justifications and such. He has his info on mda chat. We are very happy there we just saw him yesterday and our medicaid pays the transpertation as we live in Spokane. good luck I hope this helps cyndi smith Who treats mito disorders in Seattle? This is a little off the subject, but where in Spokane do you live? Some of my family live out there at Liberty Lake and I will be visiting there in November. Would love to meet you if at all possible. Too bad I can't bring Audrey along for her great-grandparents to see her.
