Guest guest
Hi Everyone... I missed you guys so much!! I've been at my parents since my surgery on Oct. 12 and their computer sucks so I've been really out of my virtual loop! I'm doing great eventhough I've certainly have had my share of ups and little downward spirals. I feel so incredibly blessed to have had this surgery. Everyday I wake up doing a little hurray /boo ya!! jump (and no I don't count that as part of my exercise). The only thing I seem to miss is chugging water which is bizarre because I thought for sure I would have my chocolate and ice cream demons haunt me. I exercise about 5 times a week but have held off on the crunches. Today I weighed in at 228 (surgery date I was about 255). I don't feel deprived at all when it comes to food. Althoughm I do admit I do get tired easily. Naps are my best friend these days. I've lost close to 25 inches total and almost all my " oh once I get on a diet and lose a few pounds " clothes fit. I feel like I have a new wardrobe eventhough I've held back from shopping. I've been so used to things in my closet stop fitting that this new twist makes life so much more easier for me. My anxieties about what to wear are just a part of my past and my boyfriend is loving it!! Weird thing..I'm finding dimples on my face that I didn't really notice before. My face has changed the most eventhough for the first time in a looong time I feel smaller. Enough of my babbles... I hope this post finds all my friends well. Thank you to those angels you kept checking up on me and I'm sorry if I scared a few by disappearing for awhile. >mwaah< Azin

Guest guest
Hi Barbara!! I'm doing fantastic...only time I run into trouble though is when I don't drink enough water. I took off 6 weeks all together. I was supposed to go back today but I extended my leave another 2 weeks after my 4 weeks were up. To be honest I really didn't feel up to just yet. I get tired easily and had a bit of nausea that I have to take medication for which also makes me sleepy. Luckily I never felt any pain or discomfort throughout the entire process but the only killer for me was the nausea. I really recommend taking as much time as you can afford. For me it wasn't so much about " pain " from surgery- I didn't experience that at all but adjusting to your new self and I really see my new pouch as a baby that needs my full attention for awhile. I'd like to think I'm 100% right now but really I'm not...I'm slowly getting there. How are things with you? How are you coming along with your 10%? Guest guest
I have completed my 10% and should have a date this Friday, as long as TOM doesn't put me over!!! I am very excited, but worried about the time off from work. At my pre-op class they said we get about 2-3 weeks and I cannot afford to take more than disability will cover, so I am hoping that Dr Fisher will be nice to me and give me at least 4, but I would really love 6! Guest guest
I hope you get your date ASAP!! I know you've been waiting for this and it will all be coming together real soon for you! I don't think even if you feel 200% you should go back at 2 weeks...you'll have your up and down days regardless of how smoothly it will go for you. I think for sure they will give you 4 weeks...I think that's the average recovery time. I would just ask for 4 weeks. I probably would have been good to go at 4 weeks except I got a little sicky and I didn't feel the rush to go back. Good luck...and don't forget always put yourself and your health first. Don't rush this and don't be afraid to ask for whatever you feel you need. Kaiser SSF was amazing and I'm sure Dr. Fisher will be just as great and understanding. Guest guest
It's great to hear from you, Azin! That's fantastic about the weight loss so far - keep up the good work! And just think - you still get to look forward to picking out more " smaller me " clothes in the not- too-distant future. Cathy C. > > Hi Everyone... > > I missed you guys so much!!
