Guest guest
How have you been doing lately? We haven't talked...but from what I have read of your posts it seems as though you and I share of lot of similarities. It seems as though our bodies are similar and, forgive me if I am wrong, but have had some setbacks on our way to the 10% goal. So I just thought I would check in with you and see how life is treating you.
Guest guest
Hey ! Yeah, I've been having a few setbacks lately myself. On Halloween I was admitted to Kaiser Vallejo again due to an infection in my leg. It seems that I also have some kidney problems. Anyway, because I was also quite dehydrated, one of the doctors attending to me told me to stop taking my Lasix until my PCP instructed me otherwise. So I was off it for a couple weeks and I started retaining an immense amount to fluids. While in the hospital I was weighed on one of the beds at 457. I was thrilled. The other day, I weighed myself at Napa's Kaiser Clinic (on what I call "crazy" scale) and it said I weighed 495. I don't hold much faith in that scale, but fortunately, I have a weigh-in appt. at Richmond on Thursday morning. We'll see what that scale says. I expect to see some weight gain, partially due to fluid retention, but also because I've not been getting any exercise in. When I came home from the hospital, I brought home a nice case of Plantar Facheitus (sp?) and it's been A LOT worse than the last episode I had on the other foot. It's still hanging on, but as of today, I can walk a little better on it. At least I'm using just a cane, as opposed to the walker, which I've been on for the past several days. But it's still QUITE painful. So , I haven't heard a whole lot from you lately either. How are things in your world? I think I recall you were struggling with the decision of whether to even have the surgery or not. Have you come to any decisions yet, and how's the weight doing? Let us know... You've been here a lot lomger than me, but if things don't improve for me soon, I may be still here for a long time before surgery... Guest guest
Ron Don't give up, I know things are bad but they will get better. Then you can get the 10% off and have surgery. We want things better for you. How is your sister doing? Hang in there. DonnaBBQ Man wrote: Hey ! Yeah, I've been having a few setbacks lately myself. Guest guest
Oh, I'm not anywhere near giving up. Who could give up with all this wonderful support here? Yes, things are bad now, but hey... now, there's nowhere to go but up... (down?) As for my sister, she's doing great. She seems to be on a plateau right now, so she's starting a more rigorous exercise program. She's already eating as well as she can. She needs to get in more water too, but she's aware of it and trying. She's so close to that 100 pound mark (both in loss and the onederfuls).
