Guest guest
Hello everyone I am so happy when I got home I got the orientation appointment for December 13 at 7am. I am sooooooo happy I can not wait for my orientation. Is there anything I should be preparing for? how long is orientation? I will be going to Richmond. Guest guest
Karla Mine was at 7am in Richmond, we were done about 9am, then you had to get weighted in and once you were done with weigh in you could leave. Just bring a paper and pen, so if there's any information you want to write down. Take any questions you might have with you, so you can get any you have already to be answered. You should start a journal that day with your weight and starting that day you will start the 1200 calories diet and you should log everything, food, water and exercise. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Congrats!!! I'm doing mine at Richmond Kaiser. One of the case mgrs, believe it's Pam, runs the orientation, and then there will be a presentation by one of the surgeons. They will show a video of the surgery, if you want to leave the room and not watch you can do that. They will also have the nutritionist, Beth, talk to you about the 1200 calorie diet. Any questions you wanna ask that are broad and feel everyone might be wondering too, ask, but if it's specific might wanna wait. I had mine in Aug 2005, and then nutiritionist appt was roughly 1 month later. Ttrue they say not to loose weight until the orientation, because thats the weight they use. I did loose weight before orientation, because it took a few months to get the date. I don't regret it, because in the end the more weight you lose before surgery the better off you will be. So once I reach goal I'll be 45lbs lighter, which is about 13.6 loss instead of 10% required. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I've been through richmond orientation, nutrition, surgeron consult, 2 classes, 1 support group. way to go!!!
