Guest guest
Good point Walter. I hadn't thought of that one. Once I asked him why there aren't more doc's doing both procedures and his candid answer was 'they are too lazy to learn'. Further, he told me that he himself only does the R-n-y if the patient adamently demands it or possibly in rare instances where the BPD/DS is not indicated. Dr. Welker has proven himself not only to be a pro at dealing with reluctant insurance companies, his experience in dealing with them is mostly in getting approval for patients having the BPD/DS. A lot of people refer to him as 'The Wizard' because of how successful he has been in getting insurance approval for his patients. gobo DS/pre-op Sched. 7/9/01 Dr. > Because his procedure of choice is the DS! > Walter Lindstrom, Jr., Esquire > Obesity Law & Advocacy Center > www.obesitylaw.com > 2939 Alta View Drive, Suite O-360 > San Diego, CA 92139 > Tel: > Fax: > Re: Dr Pories & the ASBS/ins. com. chairperson > > > > HEY GANG!!!
