Guest guest
Rose, You are too funny! I did take the photo myself. My husband gave me one of those 99 dollar digital cameras for Christmas and I have been shooting stuff when I can. I must have a million sunset photos. As far as the stained glass cross, I just put those on randomly because I liked the colors. I have done a mixture of patterns/random placement in some mosaics. When I do traditional patterns and sun catchers I use a pattern. My next hope is to design some of my own but we all know that depends on my brain and when it wants to work which right now it does not want to. I hope to hear from my MRI by tomorrow - keep me in your prayers. I having a relapse of sorts, lots of fatigue, brain farts, pain, numbness, etc. so I will let you guys know what happens. I hope you haven't had any more accidents at home. I think we all need to get someone to come and help us with our clutter, don't you? Well, I am off to Bible study so I hope you and everyone have a good day. Terri G.
Guest guest
Terri, have you ever done mosaic garden stones? Several years ago I took a beginner's class & made a total of . . . . . . . one! It is very pretty, though, and I can leave it out year round. I have a friend who got into it big time. She designs many of her own, including personalized patterns for gifts, selling, etc. She even made one for another friend who wanted to have her dog's ashes mixed into the concrete. I considered doing that, but was afraid someone would steal the stone. So Trixie (17 when she died) is on my mantel in a very nice wooden box, along with Kitty #1, who entertained Trixie for hours, and my mom's dog Porsha (in a very pretty pink jar). I haven't actually fallen again, but I did do kind of a modified split on Sat. I was in my hot tub with 3 grandkids & a little neighbor boy. One of them needed his nose blown--soon! So I got out of the tub & went into the garage, just a few steps away, to get a paper towel. Now I had already put several of those cheap rag rugs from the tub to the small garage door, but the overhead door was open & I went that way. As I hurried back, I slipped on the wet garage floor, my feet went opposite ways & down I went! I actually landed on both knees, getting some scrapes & bruises. I couldn't do the splits as a kid & I sure can't do it now, so I was pretty sore for the next couple of days. You can bet I'll stay on the rugs from now on. Other than that, watching the four kids was a piece of cake. They love the hot tub (I keep it about 85 deg.) & it's so nice to have them all in one confined space! We stayed in the tub for 45 min. Well, hope the MRI is helpful. And watch those toes, girl! Guest guest
Rose, I did do a stepping stone as my very first stained glass class. It is at my mother-in-laws house and it too stays out year round. I am sorry to hear about the garage incident. You were just jealous of my colored foot and you wanted your knees to match. No MRI results yet. I know that can be a sign that they are really looking at it but on the other hand, I am tired of waiting. AARRRRRGGGHH. Well, stay in the hot tub and off the garage floor. Talk to you later. Terri
