I am 9 weeks into scd for IBS-D. I was on stage 2 and going 1x a day...between mush and solid, but consistently 1x a day or skippong some days.About a week ago I started really bloating again and my stomach got pretty rumbly. Over the weekend I began going to the bathroom more frequently and last nite I kind of exploded with watery diarrhea and have been that way all day today...I can't believe the juicy rumbles in my stomach! I have scaled back to pretty much intro for a couple of days.2 questions...I took an epsom bath last nite and it was after that things seemed to get worse. Would I continue those if this is die off and I want to get rid of stuff?Do you continue yogurt or take a little break for a few days?I guess having IBS I thought maybe I might not get flares like those with IBD but here I am at the 2 month mark...just like the book talks about. I guess I am confused as to whether these flares are more die off of bad bacteria or a regression? Thanks for any insights!MarlaIBS-D 20 yrSCD 11\09

Marla,

I haven't tried an Epsom Salts bath (yet) so can't comment there.

But I'm at six months, and I also have IBS, and I've had several

flares. I assume they are flares unless I have been testing a new

food to blame it on, or unless it's obvious I have a virus. I think

going back to Intro or at least back a step or two is the best thing to

do, regardless.
