Guest guest
Butisn't there some sort of blood thinner or anti-coagulant that she couldtake during a virus, to help fend off strokes during those times?Anything short-acting, that she could just take when she was at risk, like now? Darla, that is an interesting ?. I know that these meds/supplements have blood thinning properties and effect the blood in different ways: ibuprofin garlic ginko biloba Vit E Essential Fatty Acids, particularly Omega 3 EFA's Bromelein (a natural anti-inflammatory found in pineapple) There are some others that are escaping my memory right now. I have also heard of vinpocetine, which is supposed to help increase blood flow to the brain. I am not sure what it is, and most of what I have read about it refers to geriatric stroke pts.
