Guest guest
Hi all: Its been a couple of weeks since Ive been on the site, something to do with my computer, smoke, flames and a small mushroom cloud.......(ok, so it wasnt all that dramatic, just managed to crash and kill the old computer now have a new one to destroy!!). Last time I was on I asked about tremors and what causes them, somebody said that it has to do with our pituitary (yep, I flunked spelling in school), I was wondering if anyone has articles on this that I might share with my neuro who doesnt seem to have seen anything about it. Id really appreciate your help as the shaking has gotten so much worse over the last months that I am unable to function a fair amount of the time. You people are always so much help whenever I have questions that have gone unanswered, I hope you know how much it is appreciated. Thanks again, and remember we have nothing to fear but sarc itself! Guest guest
Actually, Stu, your spelling is fine! I developed tremors that my neuro could never explain & he's more competent than the average bear. He kind of suggested it might be a drug reaction/interaction, but when I started having them, I was just on my b/p med I'd taken for years, plus reflux, HRT & asthma inhaler prn. And the tremors began after the fatigue, weird shocking sensations & balance problems began. So I have no doubt it's related to the sarc. While I was still working as a midwife, I took Remeron, which helped the tremors (ladies kind of want a steady hand down there), but was worse than the Pred is causing weight gain. Now I only notice them when I'm extra-tired. Guest guest
Rose/Stu, When I started with my last attack in late fall and lost my vision and developed memory loss and stuttering I had these inner tremors 24/7. My whole insides were shaking and it got worse when they initially started hitting me with the 3 IVs of solu-medrol on top of balance. I was falling into things, tripping, walking to the right, muscle twitches etc..........the usual sarc. I realize the symptoms are basically the same for MS which is why they were hardpressed to give me a diagnosis for quite sometime as everything was coming back normal from blood work to spinal taps etc. KatSee what's free at AOL.com. Guest guest
boy! was that fun!!!! Friday was a wonderful day boys and girls,I started it out by getting so confused in the shower that I couldnt even remember how to turn the damned thing off, I did thankfully have gth presence of mind to know that if I turned the wrong k nob I was going to get really cold or really hot so I waited somewhere around five minuted until I could rmember what I was supposed to do. ONe might hve thaought I would have found this somewhat strange, but nooo, I just went on with my day like normal, that is until the right side of my face became totally numb aroudn 10 am. That was about the time my wife suggested we might ought to see the doctor, who as you could have probably guessed sent me to the emergency room where I was tested prodded and probed for most of the day until I was admitted and was tested prodded and probed all that night and most of Saturday. result?,,,,,,,,,,,,,nada. They dont know, and at this point I dont care Im just glad to be back home where some idiot isnt waking me up at 3 am to take my bp and weight!!! Monday I get to start wearing a heart monitor around the house, sounds like fun huh? Boy is my wife in trouble with me!!! and screw that shower!!!!!!!!!!!!Im done with it. stu > > Hi all: > > Its been a couple of weeks since Ive been on the site, something to do > with my computer, smoke, flames and a small mushroom cloud.......(ok, > so it wasnt all that dramatic, just managed to crash and kill the old > computer now have a new one to destroy!!). > > Last time I was on I asked about tremors and what causes them, > somebody said that it has to do with our pituitary (yep, I flunked > spelling in school), I was wondering if anyone has articles on this > that I might share with my neuro who doesnt seem to have seen anything > about it. Guest guest
sTU, I've had and continue to have the problem with the shower-- so much so that we had to turn off the circulating pump that kept hot water to come on instantly. Bugger is, during the winter, it can use up all the hot water just warming the pipes. This could be a "TIA"-- Transient Ischemic Attack"-- so I'm glad you got into the er. Do they have you on the aspirin a day trick-- just 81mg (childs aspirin) keeps the blood thin enough to hopefully difuse the attacks. Oh, and that heart monitor-- KEEP THE DIARY!!!!!!! ANY FOOLING AROUND IS FUN TO READ ON THE REPORT! LOL! Take care, and keep us informed, I'd like to know what they decide. Guest guest
Stu, That happened to me one time; I could not figure out for the life of me which knob was hot and which one was cold. I didn't even have the prescence of mind to step out of the shower and try to figure it out. No, I would scald myself then freeze myself then scald myself.....I then yelled for my husband to come help me out. Don't ask me why we can't think of these things until we have almost killed ourselves. I now try to take my showers when my husband is home in case it happens again. As far as the numb face, I have nerve problems and that happens all the time to me but I bet it was scary when it happened to you. Well, just wanted to let you know you weren't alone with crazy, unexplained symptoms. You are in great company.
