Darla,

Hopefully Zipporrah is just weak from the virus and this will pass. I know about the regression with illness, Audrey goes through the same thing. We all got the flu shots last year and I think Amie wants us to do it again. Also, Audrey's insurance company told Amie that if Audrey's doctor wrote a letter of need they would pay for Audrey to get the RSV shots again this year even though she is past the official "danger" age. Have you checked into this for your girls. The year Audrey did receive the shots she didn't have RSV, but last year they said she didn't qualify because she was past 2 years and BAM! the end of January we almost lost her due to RSV. Just a thought.

I will be praying for your entire family to stay healthy as I know this will then help Porrah and Asenath as well. You certainly have had a time of it. How are the older children doing? I know some of them have had their issues.

Please pray for Zipporrah as she has been affected already by this virus. She overall has been cheerful although clogged and gunky, but today she is having difficulty pulling to a stand and crawling. Her hips are very wobbly as well as her legs. Her left appears to be the target this time around but both appear weakened. I am hoping it will be a short-term weakness as she did not appear to have a migraine with this episode. The bad ones always happen with migraines usually. She is still struggling with the gagging but steaming the bathroom up for 20-30 minute periods is helping her clear some of it.Thanks for your prayers. Oh, thus far Asenath is doing well, more tired but no regressions or episodes.Darla: mommy toAsenath (4) Mito, CNS Vasculitis, strokes,

Dear Darla:

I dislike hearing this. I pray that this will only be a very, very

minor setback. And I'm sure she is determined to stand and want to

crawl. It's hard to tell a little one that they need to store their

strength. At least when Leah gets ill she is content watching tv. And

what is scarey is that there are some nasty viruses going through the

schools already; vomiting, etc. Keep us posted on how she is doing. Is

there anything else you can do for her? This is all new to me about

strokelike symptoms.

-Darla,

Sorry to here about Zipporrah illness. It is so hard to see their

regressions-----again. The " funny flip side " (for me at least) was I

always found Lily's simple acceptance to her present condition

inspirational. I can't imagine what it would be like to go to sleep

one night with certain abilities and awaken to discover they were

gone. I'm sure I would be " mad & frustrated " yet she usually showed

good humor, cheerful spirits and a whole lot of determination.

I'm still trying to incorporate her example of acceptance into my

daily life. My prayers as always are with you and your family.
