Question Regarding Die Off

I have been on the diet almost 10 days now. After the first 4 I got some UC

symptoms like diareha, mucus & blood. I think this was because I added foods to

quickly and the wrong foods. I got the symptoms under control over the weekend.

I have been adding a little bit more yogurt every day to make sure my body can

handle it. Anyhow, yesterday after taking an epsom salt bath I started getting

more UC symptoms. Mostly mucus. Could this be die off or is something not

agreeing with me?

I am confused how to tell the difference between die off symptoms and UC

symptoms.

Also a side question... are the perry prenatal vitamins still legal? I read

somewhere that the kirkman vitamins weren't legal anymore. Are the freeda

prenatals legal. They aren't listed under SCD products.

Thanks!!

Cary

I am confused how to tell the difference between die off symptoms and UC symptoms.Basically, I'm sorry to say, you can't tell the difference. Sometimes for die off you can feel like you have the flu, other times it can just be increased digestive symptoms. IME, flares from food intolerances, etc have included bloody D, wheras die off symptoms have been D (no blood), headaches, and general achiness. As always though, it's different for everyone. Luckily, things like going back to intro and taking epsom salt baths help whether it's a flare or die off =) Peace =)Alyssa 15 yoUC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)Chinese Herbs (not legal but helping!)
