We're not talking about TV or Radio reception where you might only get certain stations. I can't imagine not having a choice as to what yahoo group you log onto. Am I missing something? Please explain. gobo

Yes, people are totally free to do that if they absolutely do not like this group and the people in it. However, people can also enjoy various aspects of both groups (one is huge, the other is small; one is older and the other is relatively new). Maybe after one is a member of both groups a person may want to choose one over the other or find that they are getting more information from one list over the other. But, to say initially 'oh, just get out of here because of the occasional squabbles and go to another' or 'choose one over the other' seems a little premature to me. I've noticed that many people CHOOSE to be on all groups, even if they aren't posting a lot on one or another. :) all the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal January 25, 2001 five months post-op and still feelin' fab! pre-op: 307 lbs/bmi 45 now: 240 (YAHOO! goin' down again!) Guest guest
; I agree with you. Obviously I'm a member of both groups. However, I am not about to tell someone the MUST join both and if someone says they want to leave a particular group, I merely want them to realize there even IS another group to try out. I see it like having various restaurants one likes to go to. One can't go to more than one at a time any more than one can sign into more than one yahoo group at a time. Even though I belong to both duodenalswitch groups, I can only sign into one at a time. Right now I'm signed into this group. After I've read all the messages and responded to whatever ones I choose to, I'll sign into the other duodenalswitch group. So, in this way, I reminded folks that they do indeed have a choice. I guess I should have been more clear that I did not mean it had to be one and only one; I simply meant like picking a restaurant. Sign into one or the other. Hence the choice. By the way, there are some wonderful veteran members of this group who also belong to the other. smiles ;-) gobo > > gobo: What I mean is that one doesn't have to chose one OVER the other -- > or migrate from one group to another. Guest guest
I love the fact that I download my list mail rather than reading it at the web. That allows me to switch back and forth between lists, look at a post someone sent to one list and go instantly and find out if it was sent to another list as well. My mail program filters mail into separate mail boxes. I do belong to some lists that interest me so little that I read them once a week or less. Those I check at the web. Just another option. in Seattle ----- Original Message ----- > Even though I belong to both duodenalswitch groups, I can only > sign into one at a time. Right now I'm signed into this group.
