so if you are willing to settle for just a smaller stomach capacity,

why not go for the vertical gastrectomy and skip the intestinal

switch part? it would restrict your eating so you could lose wt. but

you wouldn't have to be scared of not chewing every little particle

of food down to molecule size bits before swallowing. then if

insurance companies get back on the ds bandwagon, you could then have

the switch done, and be able to keep the wt off that you lost.

just a thought.

This is also an option I'm considering but once again run into the

bugaboo of whether the ins. co. will pay for it.
