Guest guest Posted January 20, 2010 Report Share Posted January 20, 2010 For anyone fighting yeast, or just trying to limit carbs while on SCD, one of the craving busters is an artificial sweetener. I know that Elaine recommends Saccharin, but I remember seeing somewhere where either she or someone from teh old listserve recommnded cyclamate. Anyways, I decided to give it a whirl, and we made some vanilla frozen yogurt tongiht. It was wonderful!!! The flavor is sweet with no aftertaste whatsoever, and it was very satisfying. We were doing stevia for a bit, but that's a little pricier and funkier. I don't know, the stevia just doesn't do it for me. But I will recommend the cyclamate. I'm making her a pudding pie tomorrow with an almond pie crust, I'll let everyone know.
