Guest guest
Since it has been almost 1 1/2 weeks since anything has gone totally and completely out of whack, (you know, just the usual daily pain numbness brain farts etc.), today I thought Id try something brand new,,,,,,,,,,,,jes fer fun. 1 AM today I woke out of a dead sleep from both legs buzzing with nerve pain, well shoot, this is new was my first thought, (well maybe second behind damnit I was just about to get, wellll never mind, but suffice it to say it was a good dream,,,,,,,,,until then!), I was kept awake most of the rest of the night with the pain and numbness that had until that moment only been in my hands and feet before. When I got up around 6 I discovered that not only was I enjoying neropathy in my lower legs but they were so painful to touch that the water in the shower hurt. The rest of the day has been just as plesant and since I work on my feet all day I learned early, (oh about 905 since I start at 9am) that my legs are also weak and shaky. AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I do love an adventure!!!!!! still waiting for the neuro to call back & tell me what he wants to do, at least I hope he wants to do something cuz if I have to spend another day like this one Im likely to go postal on his ^$^&%&$!!! Guest guest
Stu, I'm sure you have already told us, but are you on any meds for neuropathic pain, like Neurontin, Trileptal, Lyrica, etc? Had you been having any numbness, burning or other weird symptoms in your feet, or did this just start from out of the blue? I know my neuropathy came on slowly & intermittently, going from patchy numbness on the bottom of my feet to mild burning (like having my feet too close to a fire), then worse burning, feeling like little knives sticking in me, on to feeling like my feet were going to explode & not being able to stand even light blankets on my feet. Even washing between my toes used to be very painful; now that part's more numb. I suppose I should be grateful?!? Recently to add to the fun, I get intense itching in my feet, but nothing relieves it. Luckily it only lasts a few minutes--knock on wood--because I feel like screaming. So that's the story of my feet, in case you were curious. Guest guest
Hi Rose, I was reading your reply to Stu. I know about the itching in the feet and lowers legs. It is insane, and and have clawed at the skin until I have torn it. Lanacaine Maximum helps a little, but not much. Guest guest
Hi everyone, I know I’m not around much, but try to read. I take Lorazapam when I get the itchy attacks as I call them, if I have been out in the sun for any amount of time I get them bad, and have to take the drug, or go nuts, which I still do at times too.
