Katelyn's endo appointment

Ok,,I have been meaning to update ya'll on Katelyn's appointment,and things have

just been crazy around here. So,,I will update,then I will read all these

e-mails that I have to read.

I won't go into all the details,but just know that the Dr was annoyed when she

walked in the room,because I had not brought her growth records(because I didn't

think they would need them,since she wasn't there for a growth issue) and I

didn't bring her latest labs,,because they were negative.(thyroid test) So,,she

comes in with an attitude,,and proceeded to tell me how she wished that I had

brought the records,and how she couldn't do anything without the records,,blah

blah blah. So,,anyway,,she tells Katelyn to get on the table. When she did,,,the

first words out of her mouth were " Oh you need to cut your toenails,,some of

those are looking a little dangerous " !!!!! Then she started asking me all these

questions about Katelyns' puberty,,and I was like " I don't know,,I don't see her

naked " So then she asks if Katelyn had started wearing deodorant,,and if she had

body odor,,and I said no,,,,then she leaned over and sniffed Katelyn's

armpit,,and said " Yes,,she does have BO,,and she needs to start wearing

deodorant !! " Then she said " I THOUGHT I SMELLED HER,,WHEN SHE PASSED ME IN THE

HALLWAY " !!!!!! I was so stunned,,I honestly didn't know what to say ! For one

thing,,that is unbelievably unprofessional,,and for another,,she was smelling

her panties,,where she had wet them !! I was truly stunned,,and have yet to

recover. I am filing a formal complaint,but I am going ahead with the blood

tests that she ordered,and when we go back,,if she is still rude,,then she will

hear it from me personally. I don't even know how to file a complaint,,but I am

going to figure it out. The other thing is,,Logan has his appointment

scheduled,with her,on Thursday,,and I don't know if I should go,or not. I

mean,,I obviously don't want to go,,but I'm not sure how hard it will be to get

another endo. I think I will just call tomorrow,and ask to see a different Dr in

the practice.

BTW,,Katelyn,,since she has OCD,,hasn't stopped obsessing about her smell

since then,,she has had countless showers,,and is constantly asking me if she

stinks,and does she need more deodorant. I am so pissed at this woman !

I am so mad for you. How dare this so called doctor be so rude and

inconsiderate of a young girl's feelings who is in such a sensitive age. Now

she will give her self esteem issues. I am surprised you did not punch her

out right then and there. Samya went to an endocrinologist named Dr.

Francine Kaufman at CHLA when she was 6 for precoscious puberty. We did not

know she had mito, but nevertheless the doctor was so kind , considerate and

yes Samya had Body odor because of this development and I had asked her if I

could use deodorant. We never made Samya feel bad about it. It is not your

daughter's fault and yes Samya used to bathe every single day because of

this problem and it took one little sweat for her to smell. I wish I could

personally give her a peace of my mind. You need to find a " human being "

that happens to be a doctor with a heart to see her. Just hang in there

until you get whatever tests you need ordered from her to save time, proceed

to find another doctor and YES YES please file a big complaint. Doctors like

that have no right to work with children. I am so sorry. It is awful to

deal with people like that when we have enough on our plate,
