Guest guest
Hi Angel- My daughter has a Kaye Reverse , 2 large wheels in front, . It will move in grass w/ only a little resistance- I have visited this website www.adaptivemaill.com and there are a lot of options for toddlers, kaye also makes some with wheels in back and my insurance paid for it.. The other old fashioned remedy a grandmother friend of mine taught me is to wrap a pillowcase or towel around his waist, like a sash that ties in back, you hold on to the two ends from the back and it provides a lot of stabilization but encourages the child to walk independently because you are technically not touching them so it begins to foster the independence. The other thing we do with my child in pt is to have the child walking forward holding a bent hula hoop , bend it into the shape of a lemon , they hold one side and you hold one side. Gives stabilizing security but teaches some independence. Hope this helped. Sounds like he is making great progress. I am looking for a walker for my son preferably a rear facing walker but only attahces to the waist and the hands are free. Does anyone know of such a walker? I have been searching and cannot find one. The walker is too easy for him and the canes are too hard. He can walk with me holding his waist. PLEASE let me know if you have heard or seen anything like it. Also if I cannot find one like it does anyone know of a rear facing walker with large wheels for outside use so it doesn't fall outside on grass? THANK YOU Angel mom to Isaac Please contact mito-owner with any problems or questions.
Guest guest
We have a walker that has a girdle sack on it. Leah fits in it so if her legs do go out from under her, she is still supported. I like it; but Leah doesn't always like it because she has to work more than if we were to carry her. I'll have to look up the name of it. Guest guest
We have one for our son called a Crocodile walker. It has a " sling seat " which supports him at the hips and you can order whatever hand grip that would be best for your child. This walker is made by " snugseat " and you can look them up on the internet. I hope this helps, good luck! Beth > > HELLO > I hope everyone is well!
