Hi All,

I have a question about something odd. Collin occasionally

complains of something " popping " in his head. It happened earlier

today while playing. It is very brief, and followed by a sharp

burning sensation, then goes away. It just suddenly pops, lasts a

few minutes, then goes away. I don't want to make something out of

it if it isn't anything serious because there is certainly enough

serious to deal with. However, he has had neurological involvement

in the past, such as lesions and atrophy of the cerebellum. Has

anyone dealt with this? He doesn't have a neuro appt. scheduled at

this time, so I'm wondering if I should call or just wait until he

has an appt. Thanks, Joni

Hi Joni;

Yes, it has happened to me infrequently throughout my life and I don't have mito (that I know of) and I've always been relatively healthy with minimal problems. Mine are like a wicked 'snap' in my temple and hurt like crazy(usually on one side). There's no warning that it's about to happen, it just snaps! It's debilitating(sp?) and stops me in my tracks for a few moments but then gradually the sensation goes away. When I try to explain it to someone who's just witnessed the grimace on my face, they don't seem to relate.

I've never done anything about it and I guess just assumed it's something like hitting your funny bone or a charlie horse or somethin'. Maybe it's not??

Sorry I can't offer any advice but there's my experience at least.

Take care,

Hi ,

That's pretty much how Collin describes it. It stops him for a few moments with pain then goes on. I think I'll wait until his next appt. to mention it. There's so much other stuff going on. Posting this question was a huge help to put this to rest. JoniKilbride wrote:
