your sinus thingy??? i've had sinus issues for years and now doc explained that they're tied to the gut lining - i do flushes for mine - and take comp sud and tylenol if needed but never heard low salt???Yeah, I was having a lot of fluid in my head and before I took thesteroids, it was starting to block my hearing in one ear. Salt helpsto retain the fluid - so no salt/low salt for a while. But then I read today that sinus problems can also be related to yeast - and as my sinus/fluid problems do at times seem to bean inflammatory response, perhaps to cheese or dairy or moldor something, getting rid of the yeast might solve the problem. Or not. <vbg> We'll have to see. I have no idea if my otorhinolaryngologist (heh, that's a mouthful) believes in things like yeast effecting sinus issues. Mara

Not long ago for my ear problems I used colloidal silver (4-5 drops per ear, and in my nostrils). Had an amazing, and quick, effect on clearing my sinuses -- which I wasn't expecting at all. But colloidal silver can kill bad bacteria, yeast, viruses and fungi, so it actually makes sense. Couldn't hurt to try it. If it works for you it would prove I'm not a total anomaly. :-) n-- Now available. Though one thing I tried that I read about online has been clearing out my nostrils to some extent and making me feel clearer is eucalyptis oil - and anyway I like the scent. Mara

Do you have a deviated septum? My doctor mentioned I have one the other day, and

when I looked it up, it said a deviated septum can contribute to frequent /

recurrent sinus infections:

Also, pre-SCD I suffered from terrible allergies, and would get fluid in my

ears. My doctor told me to pour peroxide in them (one at a time, of course ;-)),

and let it sit in there until it quit fizzing. It always worked great!
