Guest guest
I was told several years ago that my colon is longer and more twisted than normal. With regard to symptoms and sensations, what's the difference between that and the normal colon? Thanks.
Guest guest
I was told several years ago that my colon is longer and more twisted than normal. With regard to symptoms and sensations, what's the difference between that and the normal colon? I can tell you about my much-too-long colon, anyhow. I've seen pictures of it. OK, the normal picture of a colon comes up toward the waist on your right, goes across with a small dip downwards, and then goes down the left side. Mine is 2-3 feet too long, so mine comes up the right side, doubles entirely back upon itself, goes all the way back down and over, comes all the way up, makes another sharp turn and goes down the left. If that makes sense. It gives me not only the extra length but the two very sharp bends. The extra length definitely affects transit time. It also makes for more colon area to hurt or cramp up when things are too active, and when it's underactive, I REALLY feel uncomfortably full, because I am. My sister has a colon with just a few extra inches in length and even that they told her would make her tend toward C. If I didn't answer the right questions, please answer. I can't really tell you the difference between what I've got and normal as I have never had " normal " .
