It's interesting that the Vit D is being checked-- and supplemented. A few minutes in the sunlight each day (about 10) is all that it takes to activate the natural Vit D we have in our bodies. So the fact that we're low just as winter ends and summer begins (at least that's what's going on in California) (we skipped spring). shouldn't be a surprise. If you're holed up against winter, then you aren't going to produce Vit D.

Also, Vit D is a HUGE need to prevent clinical depression.

I just read an article on sarc-- it seems that our bodies store Vit C in the granulomas and that this C doesn't work correctly, and triggers the Vit D to overproduce and hyperactivate the calcium--which forms the granuloma---- the cycle and questions go on.

I'm truly beginning to think that if we could get the Vitamins and minerals back into harmony-- that we'd all feel so much better. To that extent, I'm working on and reading a book called SUPERFOODS RX.

The more I read about the nutrients and how they should work in synergy ---- the more convinced I am that the problem lies more in nutrition.

In FSR there is also an article this month on a DNA marker that we are missing. This is a protein marker on the T5 gene (Caucasians), that we don't have. This marker controls the TNF-a and b proteins that clean up after the white cells have done their jobs.

In African American and people of color (Japan, China, Vietnam, India) the marker is missing on the T6 gene.

There seems to be a correlation between this and us having caught a virus, which turned the immune system on, and also the enviromental factors of being in "agricultural dust" and "insecticides." (For caucasians.)

I grew up surrounded by almond and walnut orchards as well as rice fields. I worked in pest control and we took the company truck home at night...

I also grew up with my dad being a floor covering contractor-- and back in the 50's-70's-- the linoleum was asphalt. He would have me in the back of his work truck, shoving out the old floor covering, the dustbag full of sanded floor dust, and the normal construction issues-- dust, more dust, and more dust. Even where I live now-- since we made the mistake of cleaning off the yard of all the pine needle debri-- we are done to dust. HMMM.

Take care,

Tracie
