Glad to hear you had a good experience with your doc! We see Dr. Whiteman

at Mayo in Rochester, MN. He is very knowledgeable with Mito and is very

thorough. He also cares deeply about his patients and takes his time

listening to our concerns. I am not sure if he is taking new patients or

> Well,it looks like we have a Bipolar Dr :)We had already scheduled an

appointment with the endo,that was so rude to Katelyn,,so we went ahead and

kept it. (Ped endo's are hard to come by) After the horrible experience that

we had when I took Katelyn,,I was a little hesitant,,but I was also prepared

to tell her off,if she got rude. So,we went,on Thursday. I had somehow

forgotten that Logan has sensory problems,,(I have no idea how,I forgot) and

I decided to cut his fingernails,while we were waiting for the Dr to come

in. BIG MISTAKE ! He proceeded to scream and cry,,and that is when she

walked in She was incrediably nice,and patient with Logan,,and made him

laugh. I couldn't believe it. She said that growth wise,,he was right on

target,,and not to worry about that. Then she moved on to the neuro's

report. She said that she feels he DOES have a mito disorder,,and that she

wants him to go to a metabolic genetics Dr. for further testing. She said

that he still has some frozen tissue left,that can possibly be used. She

mentioned the fact that he has a long droopy face,ptosis,lots of hair

whorls(cowlicks)high palate,she also mentioned that he lacks

expression,,even when he cries,,and I can't remember what else. So,,,now we

are going to be looking for a Dr to take him to. Does anyone have a

suggestion,as to where is the best place to go? I found out that Medicaid

will pay for us to fly anywhere,,and will cover expenses and such. So,,,who

is the BEST Dr to go to ?
