Guest guest
Cohen just recommended the flu and pneumonia vaccine for my little one… My peds recommended giving the flu shot to any older child in the house also to reduce incident. Although the adult vaccine may be limited, there is ample supply of the childrens. Good luck. Suzanne in Arizona, mom to Zoe, 2.
Guest guest
Last year's flu strain was not the strain the shots protected against, so they were useless. They contain thimerisol (Mercury), which many affected kids cannot properly excrete. The mist makes a person contagious for 3-5 days. Our specialist does not recommend them for anyone- she suggests boosting the immune system. Guest guest
Not advocating either opinion, fyi, I did confirm that the flu shot we are looking at is Mercury –free-, there are apparently two different types available. Guest guest
I know of a law firm that is trying to prove that Thimerisol (in flu vacc.) causes Autism in young kids. I know flu shots are good for mito to, hopefully, keep them from getting it and causing them to "crash," but now I am not sure about getting it for Caden. So many things to condsider......
