Guest guest
hi all. after one of my babies I used a clean, new, squeeze ketchup bottle. It worked great. The red kind you get at Wal Mart or target to hold your bulk ketchup in. Another option would be to get a small spray bottle (8-12 oz) and " mist " the area with a few squirts. A full-fledged " peri bottle " isn't necessary. I plan on having the bottle as well as the salad tongs and cottenelles. Now if I can just get insurance approval! becki ===== Becki, near Portland, OR BMI 50-ish, age 42 pre-op DS. hoping to get approval through Aetna Traditional Choice (fighting 'investigational' denial) Consulted with Dr. on 3-13-01 psych ok, nutrition ok, beckeye_58@... __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Salad tongs? Pray tell, what are the salad tongs for? (dangling my participle along with my curiosity!) Guest guest
On about April, there were lots of anxiety-driven discussions about ways to clean your butt after a BM when the incision makes it too painful to service it by hand. I got so pshcyed up that I went out and got a small insecticide spray unit that is powered by a built-in hand-pump (about $10 in Home Depot). Luckily, I never had to use it, as I could reach my butt without any pain from the get-go. I was lap, though. I do recommend having some moistened baby-wipes (like Papmers) handy to help clean up after the " paper work " is done. Guest guest
Another item for backside wiping is a hand-held device that is about 1 foot long and curves around and has a holder for the toilet paper. It's available at larger Pharmacies including Beaverton Pharmacy in Beaverton Oregon. It's made by + Nephew. Product code #AA2650. One Quality Drive, PO Box 1005 Germantown, WI 53022-8205.
