Guest guest
Well this seems strange to say, but we finally had a " normal " visit to the ER. On Saturday Grace was playing and took a face dive into the coffee table. She cut her eye pretty bad and needed to get stiches. Of course, I was prepared with my notebook paper filled of medications and all of her problems. The triage nurse was somewhat taken back by her medical history, but understood Mito so was very understanding. The ER doc was fabulous, and very cautious. She offered to sedate her for the sutures, due to her high BP. Unfortunatly she was only able to offer Versed, wich we know she cannot have, so we had to decline. Grace, obviously, screamed during the procedure but did well. She ended up with a ton of stickers, two popsicles and 6 stiches. In the end, it was somewhat a relief to be sitting in a hospital for a " typical " two year old thing. For once we were not worried about regression or being admitted. They sewed her up and we were on our way. My biggest worry was getting home fast enough, because I only had two bottles of breastmilk ready for (my hubby stayed home with all the other kids). Isn't it funny what us " Mito Mom's/Dad's " get excited over! Best wishes to all, mommy to , , Bre-Anne, Grace, and _________________________________________________________________ On the road to retirement?
