Guest guest
Hi all it is banana and I am having a very time like most of us I am know exception, but I have been in the hospital 3 times in the last month. The neuro has destroyed my adrenal systems so now I am having very low blood sodium levels and it sure make me feel crappy on top of feeling crappy anyway. I am home with nurses each so blood can taken and i am on such hi does of steroids I have to be monitored. My other option will be staying in the hospital for an incredible lengthy stay. At least I am given a private room because of the horrible diarrhea. I have lost 22lb. in 3 weeks and normally as a feel I would ecstatic but this is dangerous and I am trying not to freak out. Thanks for listening just needed to get that off my chest. I pray for all of us daily. ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____Got a little couch potato? Guest guest
Hi anna, sorry to hear that you are haivng such a difficult time of it. I know that when the sarc and the steroids blow out the adrenals, all kinds of nasty stuff can happen. Are you having the irregular heartbeats, along with the sodium defiency. What are they doing to keep your electrolytes in balance. Are you on Liquid Acidophyllus--- that will help get the diarrhea under control. It works better than the Imodian AD-- much better. It puts the correct bacteria back into the gi tract. Health food stores should have it in the refrigerator section. Yoghurt helps, but doesn't do what the straight acidophyllus will do. I'm sure with the high dose steroids-- that this is adding to the problem, but obviously you can't just quit them-- it is a slow, long process to wean off, and with some people, you may always need a small amount daily. Take care and know you also are in our thoughts and prayers, Tracie NS Co-owner/moderator************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
