Guest guest
Kim,Thanks! That is helpful to know. Because I have been on SCD for 1 1/2 years (eating 1 cup of SCD yogurt everyday) and still experience sinus headaches (plus some brain fog, fatigue, and a bit of muscle weakness) I am thinking that I might need an anti-fungal. I will see how things go on the s. boulardii for now, and keep the oil of oregano in mind if I don't have good improvement. However, taking a probiotic, which helps to restore the gut ecology, also influences the yeast levels throughout the body. The immune system also plays a role in dealing with the yeast levels in locations other than the intestines. So, yes, taking S. Boulardii or L. Acidophilus or eating our 24-hour yogurt will help deal with a yeast overgrowth. It also helps to adjust your food choices. And taking an antifungal, if your body tolerates it, will also help, if you feel your symptoms warrant it. Kim M. SCD 6 years

I'm finding using the eucalyptus oil nasally really helpful.Mara

Does it go bad?You can sprinkle a few drops on a tissue, then bring it up to your nose and inhale byclosing one side and breathing deeply through one nostril, then the other. For at least30 seconds - but i feels good so you may want to do it longer. Alternately, you can dab a few drops inside each side of your nose and inhale. Definitely makes my head feel clearer. And eucalyptus, wow! Love that scent. Mara
