Guest guest
Not to get into a political debate here by ANY means, but I don't think using unborn embryos is the way to go. We need to research using other means. I think above anyone's help the one we need help from is God, and I don't think He would bless that venture. I am sorry and I rarely post here - BUT this statement has upset me. I am fully in support of stem cell research and while I am not the most religious person I do beleive in a higher power - BUT to me I do not think G-d will help this situation and to be honest if he did why would I have a father that died at 62 (healthy - 10 1/2) years ago, suffer a still born and almost bleed to death myself in the process and then have children with incurable disorders. While I believe we all have our rights to our opinions and we have the right to speak them -- it does bother me to hear that G-d can cure everything or we need his approval. hugsSharonI am running the Marine corps marathon on 10-31-04 -- check out my page - http://www.aidsmarathon.com/participant.asp?runner=DC-2308 & EventCode=MC04

I don't want to push any candidate and think it probably best not to do so here as it could be way too controversial. Sorry if this topic has hurt anyone. I know presidential races can be quite heated and separate many people by their individual views. Even my sixteen year old son was harassed by co-workers recently because he supported Bush. A sad not on today's society when people attach others and use foul language and threaten to injure them or their property for a political candidate! Hope this won't get heated here! Guest guest
Though I a firm believer in free speech to the hilt, and I have many opinions on this subject too, I am afraid that if this topic is discussed much further we will have very hurt feeling on our hands. this community is set up as a support network and in my opinion not a political forum. We have have many times where GOD issues have been debated and feelings have been hurt and I think that this is a no win situation. You can do what you want and feel free to keep giong for I cannot stop you, but I would like to ask that we stop this here before it goes to far. Lets agree to disagree on this. It is an issue that will be decided at the polls on Novemeber 2nd.then probably again 4 years from now and 4 years from then. We all have our voice. If you ask every person in this group their opinion you will get a different opinion. But that is not what this group is about...GOD, or stem cells, or politics...it's our children with mito; the one thing we all have in common. just MY opinion, Dawn
