Don't worry. That's WONDERFUL! Because you need all the water you

can get into yourself.

Diabetics run through lots of water.

I'm 5 weeks postop, & I'm still that way! one thing I found that

helps a bit is to buy popsicle molds & make " icecicles " - you can't

gulp too fast, but the soothing cool moisture is there on your tongue.

Just keep sipping, try the ice pops, & hang in there! I'm just now

getting to where I can drink my preop water amounts (I always drank a

lot more than the recommended 2 liters), & I'm hoping the thirst will

ease up as I can drink a bit more. Keep us updated, & good luck, hun!

Hugs,

Liane

Liane,

I'm so glad you wrote, I forgot to mention that I, too, drank lots of

water pre-op and was wondering if that had a lot to do with it. I do

have popsicle molds and will have to try the icecicle thing. I find

it odd that before surgery I didn't like ice, infact I much preferred

room temperature water, and would never think of chewing or sucking

on an ice cube, and now that seems to be what I crave. The ice water

feels so good going down my throat, but after a few ounces it doesn't

settle all that well in the stomach. Thanks again for your info. and

I hope all is going well with you post-op.
